Valentina Di Liscia is a Brooklyn-based art writer and translator born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She studied Art History at the University of Chicago and is currently working towards her MA at Hunter College, where she received the Brodsky Scholarship for Latin American Art History. She is a regular contributor to Hyperallergic, Art Observed, and other publications, and also works to help build and manage private collections at the firm Ruth Catone. Valentina is interested in how the radical conceptualist movements of Latin America can be applied to today’s political art forms, and in the way in which the selective translation of art historical texts to English shaped our present art narratives -- narratives which she hopes to expand and correct.
